Charity
St Mary's church is a registered charity requiring substantial funds to maintain our Grade 1 listed building. We also regularly support the Bishop of Southwark's lent appeal, Christian Aid and Church of England Children's Society as well as requests for funds after disasters such as last years flooding and the Tsunami, Burma and China appeals.
Funds from our monthly country market, held on the first Sunday of the month after the 9.30 service are shared between our church and a range of charities suggested by our congregation. We also provide support and skills to local charities such as the Croydon Churches Floating Shelter.
Our plans to rebuild our community hall will require fundraising and we would be very happy to discuss our requirements with anyone who would like to contribute to the success of this project. For further information visit our fundraising pages.
